  • Please contact the Walk Leader for further information on walk, if necessary.  Contact number is given.
  • We do try and get information in the Greenock Telegraph, but have no control over when, or if, it will actually be inserted, and they will adjust content to suit space.  When in doubt contact the leader!

A ‘Graham’ at moderate pace.  Park at the small parking area on the eastern side of the Gleann Beag/Hell’s Glen road, at GR 168074. This is some 2kms down the B839, off the A815. Climb Stob an Eas, 732m, firstly via woodland tracks. OS 56 map.

Walk of some 6kms, ascent of 510m. Approx time , depending on weather, 4hrs. Small sections of crag & scrambling avoided easily.
A phone call to leader would be wise as car space will be limited, first callers have priority.

Corbett at SLOW pace
Park N of Ballimore farm, & start the walk, through the farm, at bridge over Calair Burn. Climb Stob Fear-tomhais,771m, return via Ceann na Baintighearna & Creag Mhor.   Landranger OS 57.

Walk of 13kms, ascent of 560m. Approx time needed, excl breaks, 5.5 hours. No bridge over the Allt a’Ghlinne Dhuibh, which may be in spate, 2kms into the walk.

Trilleachan, 839m. Views down & across Loch Etive & Glencoe are spectacular, cameras a must.

Walk of 11kms, ascent of 920m. Approx time needed, breaks excluded, 6 hrs.  There is a ‘sense of exposure’ at points on the ridge, notably at 767m on the ridge, & also a 70m short steep descent. .
